Having returned to his roots as a journalist, Boris travels beyond the headlines and into the reality of a war that has become a brutal contest of endurance, technology and survival. Under the constant threat of Russian drones hunting targets from above, Boris seeks out soldiers living with the threat of death every day: infantrymen holding exposed trench lines, elite drone operators waging a new kind of war through screens and signals and construction workers turned bomb makers by necessity.

Boris talks to soldiers whose bodies bear the scars of battle, have lost colleagues and hears about the harsh realities of conscription forced on a nation who did not choose this war.
