Now is the time

There has never been a better time to launch an indie in Scotland. The UK public sector broadcasters are committed to commissioning Scottish companies and the public agencies are keen to back them. In addition, the international demand for UK content is at an all-time high.

Channel 4 has just announced plans to establish a Creative Cluster in Glasgow and has committed spend 50% of its programme budget outside London by 2023. 


The BBC is committed to spending 9% of its network budget in Scotland, as a floor and not a ceiling, and is just about a launch a new channel in Scotland.

The business is also perfectly aligned with the ambitions of the Scottish Government and new agency Screen Scotland which has just been given additional funds of £10m to boost the sector.
